The simple gift of clean water can transform a community by improving sanitation, strengthening health, and thereby allowing improved productivity for children in schools and adults in the workplace. Prakash Ministries is helping communities gain access to this gift by digging wells in places such as Uganda and India. Wells even become a vehicle through which we can share Jesus with the unreached when they are built near churches. As people come to collect water, they have the opportunity of hearing the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ.
The cost to dig a typical well in Africa is $5000 and $3000 in India. However, because wells are such a necessary and tangible way of sharing the love of Christ with unreached people, our goal is to be able to provide five wells strategically placed by churches, by the year 2022.
In areas that have limited access to water, imagine the impact one well could have not only on the physical well-being of a community, but on the spiritual life of an entire area.
